My Photo Diary!: #46 When you visit Amsterdam...

Amsterdam, the city where everything is allowed :), where you can see the most interesting things, but also the most strange ones, is a nice city that should be visited at least once in a life... I've been there for several times, and I've made a top activities you should do when you'll go to this amazing city...

For most tourists the arriving point in Amsterdam is the Central Station... If you arrive here, just follow the straight way which will bring you to the central square of Amsterdam, called Dam...

Visit Madam Tussauds museum! A museum where you can meet your favourite actors and singers, the Dutch royal family and other important persons from all the times... For several hours you can go in the past, you can travel over continents and seas or you can be in the club... and you'll have this impression if you go there... It is located on the one side of the Dam Square...

Amsterdam is called the North Venice, and this it is not coincidentally... Whenever you turn, you will see water canals, you'll see houses surrounded by water, boat houses and restaurants, and you can reach any point in the city by boat... Boats on the edge, birds flying over the canals and a lot of big and small bridges over them, moreover, every bridge has a name... Even if the canals look similarly, there are so different... Each of them is magical, you are surprised every time when you see another one, you can admire them continuously...

If you are in love with art, and want to see the masterpieces of Van Gogh or Rembrand, then go to Amsterdam... There are a lot of museums where you can escape and know more about art, history and culture...

There are also other types of museums in Amsterdam, such as sex museum, torture museum or museum of prostitution... If you are interested in these topics, don't hesitate to visit them...

Probably the most crowded place in Amsterdam is the "I AMSTERDAM"... Tourists from all around the world come here to take a picture... Always will be somebody foreign on your photo at "I AMSTERDAM", that's because it's almost impossible to be only you in front of it... of course if you don't go there when the weather is really bad or early in the morning...

Close to I AMSTERDAM there is a nice park where you can relax, eat an ice cream or walk... It is always full, children or adults, cats of dogs, walking or biking... you are welcome any time...

Go a little bit far from city center! There are so many places to explore, it is so nice just walking around and admiring the Dutch architecture, the old and the new one... colorful houses with small doors and big windows, interesting stairs and awesome balconies with many-many flowers...

Take a boat tour! It is amazing! You can find cheap tour which include only 1 or 2 hour excursions on the water canals, but you can always choose an expensive tour which can include eating and drinking, a romantic dinner or different show programs... Whatever you choose, you'll enjoy the trip with the beautiful designed boats on the canals of the North Venice...

Go to the flower market! Just walk through and you'll receive a lot of positive energy! You'll wonder how many kinds of flowers there are and you'll recognize that you never knew how many sorts of tulips exist... Undoubtedly, you'll agree that the Netherlands is the country of the flowers... Before leaving the market, buy some bulbs of tulips to bring "a piece of the Netherlands" home...

Buy souvenirs! Tulips, cannabis leaf, wind mills, boat on the water canals, cows, clogs and wooden shoes or kissing couple... any of them can be nice memories of your trip in Amsterdam or pleasant presents for those who couldn't join you to Dutch capital...

Buy Dutch cheese!

You'll see big bicycle parkings... I wonder if it is easy or not to find afterward you bike... Moreover, you'll see unusual designs of the bikes, some funny or some strange, some very practical...
