#50 ZinaPhotography - In tranzit prin Romania... Romania from west to east...

Prima si ultima excursie facuta in Romania a fost in anul 2006, cind am mers intr-o excursie organizata in orasul Brasov...

[EN] Even if Romania borders Republic of Moldova, the country where I was born, grew up and studied, which means 22 years of my life, I should recognize that, unfortunately, I didn't have many opportunities to visit and discover beautiful Romania... My first and last trip to Romania was in 2006, when I went to Brasov... I was in the autumn, at the end of October, when the mornings are quite cold, and the evenings come early... It was my first excursion abroad, of course I was very impressed to see in two days another country, another nature, with mountains, forests and mountain rivers, I discovered another style of houses, churches and castles, another architecture...

I returned to Romania for several times, but now just for several hours at embassies and other official offices... I never doubt that Romania is a very beautiful country which must be visited, because I know it has wonderful places to be, lakes, sea and mountains, churches, monasteries and castles... But unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to explore other cities and turistic attractions as well...

When we drove home from Belgium/Netherlands I had the chance to discover another Romania, which I saw not as a turist, but I saw it how people living there see it and not every turist had the chance to see its pure beauty... Crossing Romania along from west to east, I admired the amazing landscapes, we drove on the roads with breathtaking views, and I couldn't stop looking at the hills full of tall trees, I fell in love with the villages with their small old houses and gardens... Also there I ate the most delicious "mamaliga" (a traditional Romanian kind of bread made from corn flour) with sour cream and cheese, and the most tasty and soft bread...

Last year, on our way to Belgium, we stayed for one night at Bicaz lake... We admired the wonderful lake, then we tried again the traditional Romanian cuisine, and in the morning we woke up listening the birds' songs and admiring the amazing view we had from our balcony... After breakfast we took a deep breath of fresh air and coninued our way... During these transit journeys through Romania I tokk some photos, to remember the unique and wonderful places...
